8 hour day between 6-6. The office is fast paced and a dynamic mission. The Logistics Generalist (LG) will be assigned to various offices within WMA supporting mainly Fleet Management, and various logistical duties pertaining to preventative maintenance and scheduling of vehicles. The contractor must be able to utilize appropriate databases such as Sponsor Procurement Systems to input applicable vehicle data. Should be able to ensure that vehicles are operable and provide recommendations to the Staff on scheduled maintenance. Fleet Management is required throughout the WMA traveling to/from various vendors and locations. The selected contractor will work in a team often shuttling vehicles to/from various maintenance shops.
Contributes to the completion of specific logistics projects.
Conducts supplier audits, assessments and evaluations to ensure conformance to clients quality, cost and delivery performance standards.
Performs demand forecasting, distribution planning, supply chain modeling and design.
Resolves supplier quality issues and provides appropriate support for desired supplier capability.
Identifies logistics opportunities for process improvements, inventory reductions, and cost savings.
Writes and edits the logistics policies and procedures.
