Job Description Summary:
GDIT is seeking a Senior Logistician at our Huntsville, AL location. This position will support the customer’s logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, conducting sparing analysis, scheduling maintenance and/or repair activities on all CONUS based systems for PM FPS, as well as conducting/assisting property assessments, providing guidance on government regulations pertaining to ASL, property management, COSIS, conducting periodic inventories, receiving newly procured material into the Catalog Ordering Logistic Tracking System (COLTS), reconciliation activities, overseeing all transportation and shipping activities, and assisting in the procurement process for the PM FPS IBD-SS program/contract, and any additional Property and/or Logistics functions as assigned.
Primary Duties:
Assist in the management of PM FPS CONUS Warehouse operation for all systems, repair parts, and material utilizing COLTS as the procurement and property management tool to conduct day-to-day operations of a centralized warehouse operation to include: transportation of systems, repair part, and all material needed to maintain operational readiness of PM FPS FOS worldwide.
The Senior Logistician will perform the following:
Maintain control of the Authorized Stockage Listing (ASL) and perform required inventories/audits
Conduct analysis IAW applicable Army Supply Regulations to meet the requirements a demand support ASL and maintain an Operational Availability of 90% on all PM FPS FOS worldwide
Provide analysis and forecasting for supply chain shortages and assist in the Procurement and Acquisition process for supply replenishment
Maintain inventory control processes to account for material received, shipped, excess, moved, or in transit
Assist/Maintain program material throughout its life cycle from acquisition through to divestiture/disposal
Utilization of IUID and RFID tools and tracking systems
Provide material handling coordination support to include shipping, receiving, storage, and disposition of property
Inspect inbound inventory for accuracy and completeness, defects or notable damage and log/report discrepancies
Perform data entry, analysis, research and documentation of material consumption in COLTS, or other government, program, or company database to determine appropriate stockage levels and reorder points
Interact with vendors, OEMs, FSRs and other customers to obtain information, reconcile inventory discrepancies, prepare RMAs and obtain EDD/ECD dates
Direct the sorting and placement materials or items on racks, shelves, bins, or containers according to predetermined sequence
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel and Access to conduct in-depth detailed analysis in support of PM FPS FOS cost analysis
Must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports utilizing company and client software to include MS Excel, COLTS, MS Access
Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
Ability to lead logistician teams, and mentor less experienced team members
Provides assistance and technical expertise in property issues and coordinates property management system control activities to ensure continual accountability of government, associate contractor, or company assets in accordance with applicable government regulations or corporate policy
Interacts with and corresponds with Government personnel, using a strong working knowledge of Army Regulations governing supply operations, property accountability, storage, maintenance, and performing asset inventories
Act as liaison bridging the gap between Supply Chain and Logistics personnel and System Engineering team
Required Skills:
15 or more years of DOD Logistics and/or Property Management Experience
Ability to work with no supervision with strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to multitask, prioritize work, workload of subordinates, and be adaptive to change
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Familiar with OSHA Health & Safety standards and regulations
Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
Must be forklift experienced and able to pass a certification test for the operation of a forklift, and able to operate manual material handling equipment, pallet jack, push carts, etc.
Must be able to withstand physical demands of a warehouse environment: seasonal hot/cold temperatures, bending, squatting, lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds, and standing for long periods of time.
Desired Skills:
Strong government Material Management and Maintenance Experience
Understanding of the entire DOD Supply chain management process to include stockage, transportation, accountability, labeling, system configurations, maintenance work orders, functional verification testing, requisitioning for part replacement, RMA’s process etc.
Experience with the COLTS procurement and property management system a Plus
Knowledge of PM FPS FOS and equipment
Experience with military transportation & logistics, MILAIR, USTRANSCOM, etc.
Familiarity with DOD logistics practices and forms, DD250, DD1348, DD1149, etc.
Knowledge of DPAS and AESIP a plus
Import/Export (EXIM) compliance experience
Implementation and utilization of IUID and/or RFID system
Experience with Procurement on a DoD Program/Contract Highly Desired
Education Required:
BA/BS with 8-12 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree. (15 total years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.)
Security Clearance:
