Our work depends on a Machine Learning Engineer joining our team to support the CMS Quality Data Analytics and Services (QDAS) contract.

A Machine Learning Engineer:

Researches, builds and designs self-running artificial intelligence (AI) systems to automate predictive models. 

Designs and creates the AI algorithms capable of learning and making predictions that define machine learning (ML).

In this role, a typical day will include:

Supporting the implementation of Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities.

Researching, designing, piloting and implementing new cloud-based Data Analytics features to support Machine Learning capabilities, Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive Analytics, Geospatial Analytics, Social Media analysis, Text Analytics and Natural Language Processing needs of the federal government.

Developing new ML/NLP/AI models based on business requirements and future rules and measures evaluations.

Applying ML/NLP techniques for generating custom analytic data finder files for the user community that help identify patient or study populations.

Developing advanced Machine Learning models for data scientists.


BA/BS and or 8+ years of work experience

Strong knowledge and experience in Machine Learning methods.

Strong knowledge and experience in AWS Cloud Machine Learning services and AI/ML APIs.

Ability to identify pros and cons associated with different data storage technologies, data processing engines, and other services.

Strong skills with Machine Learning Model Operationalization Management (MLOps) that focuses on data management and data science operations

US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Experience with telecommuting, working from a home office
