The Administrative Assistant II will work within the office's customer contact branch, providing support on a range of issues across the support disciplines (HR, logistics, finance, security) via web-submitted queries and phone calls from sponsor personnel. The candidate is expected to resolve issues as appropriate via written and oral responses, but must also be able to use quick and resourceful customer service skills to do additional research or refer inquiry to appropriate points of contact. Responses to issues are based on scripts and access to multiple knowledge bases, no specific subject-matter expertise is required. The hours range from no earlier than 0700 to no later than 1800. The customer contact branch has a preference for a later schedule. There are no physical requirements for the position beyond traditional office desk work. There is no travel to other locations in this position. The candidate will use sponsor Sharepoint sites and established Excel spreadsheets to complete routine work. The candidate will also use multiple case and knowledge management tools, as well as sponsor-specific applications. Spreadsheet data entry, manipulation/formula creation and basic pivot table skills are necessary. Prior Sharepoint experience is preferred, but office will provide any needed training. Candidate will assist staff with metrics report generation for weekly report.
