Our work depends on a Senior DevSecOps Engineer joining our team to support cloud migration activities for a federal customer located in Washington, DC.
GDIT is seeking a senior DevSecOps engineer to support a complex federal contract that enables the delivery and maintenance of cloud capabilities and improves software development processes. The program involves operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms for a federal government customer. This includes cloud modernization strategy, cloud managed services, developing processes for cloud service provisioning, requirements development, and enhancing cloud capabilities to solve mission problems.
Design, implement and maintain a federal cloud platform
Working with the government, vendors and teaming partners to integrate systems for the overall success.
Developing staff and ensure ongoing performance and professional growth.
Overseeing and continually improving delivery on program, including supporting problem resolution.
Creating effective business and technical cloud strategies and solutions that drive growth and execution
10+ years of programming experience
5+ years of experience working on a software engineer team leveraging DevSecOps
Includes 5 years of experience in at least two of the following fields in information security, computer or information science or related fields
Experience using a wide variety of open source and COTS technologies and tools
Experience automating operations and workflows
Solid understanding of and experience implementing and integrating CI/CD Tools from the ground up, such as Atlassian (JIRA and Confluence), Github, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Selenium, SonarQube, Gatling, JMeter, JUnit, AMP, aChecker, Jaws, Netsparker, OWASP ZAP, Tenable Nessus, Splunk, Prometheus, CloudWatch, New Relic, Grafana, Slack/Google Hangouts Chat
Strong background working in an agile development environment, collaborating with Application Development and Architecture Teams
Experience with service-oriented architecture, web services, Application Programming Interfaces
Experience working in a High Availability environment with 99.99%+ uptime
Strong background in Amazon Web Service (AWS), MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Apache, NGINX, PHP
Comfortable writing deployment scripts in languages such as Python, Shell, AWS Cloud Formation, Groovy, and Golang
Experience with systems and IT operations
Comfort with automated, frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
Strong grasp of automation tools
Data management skills
A strong focus on business outcomes
Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
A recognized certification in the Information Security field - i.e., CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISSP (Certified Information Security Professional)
Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in a variety of computer programs and applications including VMWare, Windows, Linux, Oracle and Solaris.
3+ years of experience improving customer experience by automating software development lifecycle (SDLC) as CICD pipelines and workflows using DevOps technologies
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Experience with JIRA
