GDIT  is seeking a Scientist to support CDC’s research and development efforts in the state-of-the-art immunological assays (multiparametric flowcytometry, single cell transcriptomics, B and T cell receptor repertoire and immunoglobulin clonotypes with LC/MS) to assess immune responses to influenza vaccination and infection in different populations.

We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with experience in molecular biology, gene expression, human immunology, single cell genomics, human monoclonal antibody construction, expression and characterization.

The position is in the Influenza Division (ID) of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), Office of Infectious Disease (OID).

  • Assessing innate and adaptive immune responses to human influenza infection/vaccination using state-of-the art flowcytometry

  • B cell and/innate immune isolation and molecular analysis using 10X Genomics platform

  • Cloning, expression and characterization of human monoclonal antibodies.

  • The candidate will also have an opportunity to share expertise and assist ongoing animal and human studies investigating novel vaccine strategies namely, mRNA, Vectored, recombinant, nanoparticle and adjuvanted vaccines.
