  • Responsible for the transition from the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) benchmarks for securing products and components hosted in the cloud.
  • Will perform security compliance activities associated with the requirements identified in NIST 800-37 (current version), “Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems” and NIST 800-53 (current version), “Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.”
  • Performs periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance.
  • Prepares incident reports of analysis methodology and results.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and privacy laws.
Key Requirements:
  • U. S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder
  • Ability to secure a Public Trust clearance
  • 2+ years of substantive IT knowledge and demonstrate hands-on expertise and/or training in areas of emerging technologies.
  • Must have knowledge of security scan tools to ensure remediation of findings.
  • Must have hands-on experience and expertise with ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling.
  • Be a self-starter with keen analytical skills, curiosity, agility, and adaptability.
  • The ability to work quickly, willingness to work on ad hoc assignments.

Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from one of the major Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google)

The likely salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
