TSS Web Developer ITC# 2745

GDIT Technology Shared Services (TSS) is seeking a Web Developer to support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing Americas Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.

Duties:

• Design, implement, test, and support modern, efficient, secure software within the domains of web, api, and data
• Build customer confidence and trust by delivering working software on time and often
• Bring an innovative, always learning, agile/lean mindset to the team
• Work closely with others to determine requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or similar discipline
• 2+ years of experience
  • Creating web applications in an agile environment
  • Working with at least one modern, object-oriented language
  • Working with React
  • Working with databases

• Understanding of software design patterns and their use
• Automated testing skills with knowledge of TDD and BDD techniques
• Agile/Lean mindset
• Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe experience
• Understanding of front-end and back-end technologies and architectures, such as API design, micro-services, relational and non-relational databases, scalability, and security
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret clearance
