Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The US Marine Corps Technology Services Organization (USMC TSO) program is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join their team in Kansas City, MO, or Indianapolis, IN.

As a Senior Developer on staff, you will develop web-based applications using the following languages and technologies:

  • JAVA, JAVA Servlet, J2EE compliant HTML, CSS
  • Web Services, Struts/Spring, PrimeFaces, JSF

You should have demonstrated understanding of multi-tiered design and development with experience in at least two of the following areas:

  • Presentation layer (user interface)
  • Business objects (application logic)
  • Persistence (database connectivity and access)

The development methodology is based upon Agile/Scrum and/or Kanban. You must be knowledgeable of user stories, creation and management of sprint backlog. Ability to interpret/comply wTSOith established architecture and framework is expected including creation of object oriented executables using MVC and design patterns.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience developing software using JAVA, JAVA Servlet, J2EE compliant HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Web Services, Struts/Spring, PrimeFaces, JSF
  • Knowledge of USMC systems and culture.
  • Technical/Professional Certification from industry-recognized organization (Oracle, PMI, IQTSB, CompTIA, Puppet Labs, Red Hat, etc).
  • Current Secret clearance

Experience in any of the following will be beneficial:            

  • Development of/migration to Cloud-based applications
  • Automated Application Build-Deploy processes (via tools such as Docker)
  • Self-provisioning of environments (via tools such as Puppet)
