GDIT is looking to hire a supervisor to manage a team of regional Contract Field Specialists (CFS). The Eastern Regional Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of all contract field specialists located within the federally allocated regions of the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast, in support of a federally funded program with respect to the care and placement of participants in a network of grant funded care provider programs.  The Eastern Regional Supervisor provides essential support to regional federal field teams by orchestrating activities, overseeing the completion of assigned tasks, coordinating necessary follow-up with regional field staff and ensuring successful field operations and outcomes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the GDIT regional point person on all short and long-term projects identified by senior federal field supervisors located within Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast.

  • Interfacing with applicable regional federal field supervisors to coordinate duties and deliverables and address issues.

  • Coordinating with regional supervisors and national field supervisor regarding projects, assignments and trends.

  • Working with regional field specialists to coordinate and consolidate reporting requirements.

  • Reviewing and consolidating all deliverables and providing regular feedback to the team regarding outcomes and best practices. 

  • Managing and supervising regional field staff:  Time cards, performance management, training requirements, GDIT corporate compliance, etc.

  • Working with the GDIT National field supervisor to optimize the field team to ensure appropriate and sufficient levels for program coverage, daily activities, and duties.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conduct/coordinate the orientation and mentoring of new field staff within all federally allocated regions within the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast.

  • Provide updates on national calls for field activities within their areas of coverage.

  • Consolidate field reports for all regions within their areas of coverage.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of UC policies, processes and procedures

  • Conduct Assessments of care provider programs as needed within their areas of coverage.

  • Provide work leadership to less experienced field staff.

  • Providing coverage for National field supervisor and other regional supervisors as needed.

Flexible work schedule with weekend coverage required. Long distance and local travel to facilities in the United States is required and will be reimbursed per Federal travel regulations.  This position requires a Public Trust clearance, or the ability to obtain one.


Bachelor of Arts in Social Work or related discipline 

Graduate degree and training in child welfare best practices preferred


  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and experience working with underserved populations.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical assistance, monitoring and support to grantees/nonprofit agencies Proficiency in MS Office suite of tools.

  • Flexibility and ability to work independently in high-pressure environments

  • Must be able to deploy to sites in the United States as needed for extended durations (3-4 weeks or longer)

  • This position requires a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one
