Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including contract and subcontractor management.
Typically supervises assigned staff, may include subordinate supervisors and managers.
Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.
May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks.
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
Manages risk tracking process.
Attends customer meetings and serves as primary client liaison.
Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.
Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
We are looking for a full-time hands-on Project Manager whose primary role will be to setup and operated scaled agile processes, manage multiple agile scrum teams, conduct Program Increment sessions, agile ceremonies and take ownership to lead and deliver across multiple cloud work streams including automation of cloud infrastructure, security, operations and governance at scale, communications and training, etc.
This agile leader will setup agile workflows using tools like JIRA, establishing Kanban boards, conducting PI sessions, creating PI roadmaps, gathering business requirements, creating portfolio dashboards, creating epics, creating stories, creating acceptance criteria, creating wireframes and all other artifacts requires to run an agile portfolio of projects.
This is a key client facing position, working directly with the client cloud program manager in developing a schedule for various releases with milestones and updating the schedule, risks, mitigations, and issues as needed.
Responsibilities include running daily and weekly scrum meetings with agile teams and reporting accurate status including impediments, blockers and dependencies. This resource is expected to provide an accurate status of all projects including team velocity and capacity. This may require the resource to create custom JIRA dashboards. This resource will be the go person for requirements throughout the life cycle of the project and will be interacting with the client stakeholders on a regular basis. The client PM depends on this resource for data and status reports to be reviewed across the client organization including senior executives.
This PM is expected to be cognizant of the overall program and project schedule at all times to meet the delivery dates and associated deliverables. The resource will be required to work closely with the client and GDIT leaders before committing to new requirements that may be out of scope or not currently prioritized. The resource will maintain requirements and acceptance criteria in JIRA and may be required to adhere to pre-defined agile development processes that are currently being followed by the client. However, as the resource identifies opportunities to improve or expand processes, recommendations are to be made to the client PM.
Other activities include participating in various meetings/working sessions with various other teams and members to understand inter-dependent tasks to meet the deliverables.
. Prepare and present project roadmap, schedule, functional test plans, impediments, mitigation strategies to various impediments, and briefings as needed.
Required Skills, Experience and Certification:
Experienced with scaled Agile
SAFe 5 Agile certification (PMI-PMP is a plus)
Must have previously managed a project portfolio using SAFe 5 methodology
Must have experience with planning and managing program increments and release cycles
Must have hands-on experience in configuring Kanban boards, JIRA Roadmap or JIRA Advanced Roadmap tools
Must have a thorough understanding of various features in JIRA
Experience managing IT Infrastructure, security and operations is a plus
Reviews future project requirements and develops strategies for future work.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of related work experience
