GDIT is looking for a Project Manager to support a new program within the Federal Government. The candidate will be responsible for the Program Management Office for the program. This includes overseeing the Earned Value Management function, the Quality Assurance function, the Configuration and Release Management Function as well as the Technical Writing function. This role will act the Deputy PM to the Program Manager for the program.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Managing a team of 5+ employees
Run a Program Management Office for a Federal Government IT Services Program.
Oversee EVM, Quality Assurance, Configuration and Release Management and Technical Writing.
Reporting all metrics to meet program SLA’s
Reporting monthly financial status including EVM.
Managing software releases on a Quarterly basis following the HHS EPLC process.
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely fashion and it complies with 508 standards.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5+ years of Project/Program Management related experience.
EVM: The Project Manager must have an understanding of Earned Value Management.
The Project Manager will work with our EVM specialist to develop project baselines, Control Accounts, the schedule and the monthly reporting requirements.
Financials: The Project Manager must understand project financials (resource planning, budgets, EAC’s, margins) and have managed budgets in a Firm Fixed Price and a Time & Materials environment.
MS Office suite of products, must be proficient in MS Project.
Experience with Agile development teams.
Candidate MUST be able to obtain a Public Trust.
