Join General Dynamic Information Technology’s (GDIT’s) Defense Division as Cyber Security Analyst Advisor for an exciting new DoD program.  This Advisor plays a leadership role in the design, definition, construction an implementation of an enterprise defense architecture for a large Cloud service, to include integration into existing enterprise components and services. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security designs.
  • Design, develop, implement and/or integrate IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements.
  • Build IA into systems deployed to operational environments.
  • Assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application security policy and enterprise solutions.
  • Support the building of security architectures.
  • Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
  • Analyze existing capabilities and services for recommendations regarding cybersecurity integration and re-engineering.
  • Provide guidance on integration and synchronization of disparate technologies and ensure security is integrated into all architecture solutions.
  • Act as a cybersecurity subject-matter expert to multiple tasks and/or programs.
  • Review completion and implementation of system development, additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
  • Evaluate new application, infrastructure and cloud decisions in existing context of applications, infrastructure, standards, current business strategy and future business strategy.
  • Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Serve as liaison with senior clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Basic Qualifications      

  • B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent) and Eight years of experience in Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineering and Cloud Architecture, leading teams of cyber security engineers.
  • Active TS Clearance and SCI eligibility.
  • CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Experience pursing new business proposals and capture efforts and responding to government Task Orders.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud cyber security technology principles, methods, and techniques as well as knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity Reference Architecture to include Zero Trust, MPLS, IAP, BCAP, IdSS, JRSS, milCloud, etc.
  • Experience working with technical leadership and senior leaders, including C-Suite executives.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time and in challenging situations.
  • Ability to effectively engage current and prospective partners to build trust and relationships, and foster their participation and sponsorship of program initiatives.
  • Comfort with public speaking and giving presentations.
  • Able to travel 5-10% to DC/MD/VA area.
