The role of the ServiceNow Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects for implementing, enhancing, and supporting ServiceNow according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of assigned team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The ServiceNow Project Manager will define the project’s objectives, oversee quality control, manage schedule, and manage risks throughout the project’s life cycle.


Strategy & Planning

  • Work with customer capability owner to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support organizational goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Work with customer capability owner to define project success criteria.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend follow-on budget changes as needed.

Operational Management

  • Direct and manage project from beginning to end.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and communications documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of project management, business, communications, or general management highly desired, a university or college degree/diploma is required to start. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification(s) in project management are highly desired, such as PMI PMP, SaFE Agile, or Scrum.
  • Cyber security and risk management framework related certifications highly desired.
  • Minimum of active DoD Secret Clearance and willingness to maintain clearance or obtain higher security clearance and access levels.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 8+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project management processes and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project Client, or Excel based work breakdown structures.
  • Experience working with the ServiceNow platform and managing ServiceNow projects

Work Conditions

  • Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Some travel, including international travel with valid passport, may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
  • This is a 100% on-site job.  Tele-work not possible

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience
