General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for highly motivated and

experienced waterjet operator to support critical contracts for the US Military.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating daily work with department supervisor
  • Loading/unloading material/jobs from machine.
  • Operating machine controls and setting offsets.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
  • Inspection of completed work for quality standards and GDIT conformance requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep to machine and workstation.
  • Responsible for the rebuilding or replacing of OMAX Waterjet machine parts as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Previous OMAX waterjet operation preferably 2-3 years
  • Ability to rebuild or replace OMAX Waterjet machine parts as needed to maintain OMAX Waterjet machine, and document maintenance performed.
  • Materials knowledge and uses.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Computer knowledge necessary.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (i.e.: calipers, micrometers, gages, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for an eight hour shift minimum
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.

Requirements:  Associates degree or equivalent experiece

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.00 - $30.00, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
