As a Senior Information Security Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You can make a personal impact supporting a Customs Border Protection (CBP) and trade applications.

Must be able to obtain a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Trust Suitability (Full/Final) is required to start. Candidates with a Top Secret can (in most cases) get reciprocity for a Full/Final CBP Public Trust Suitability. US Citizenship required.

Our team works 100% remote, but candidates must have the ability to go onsite (Ashburn, VA) occasionally.


Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Security Engineer supporting a Customs Border Protection (CBP) project. We are an established team recruiting for a new team member to join the team!

As a member of the Audit Team you will safeguard the federal government information systems assets.

  • Design and automate processes that support ISSOs, such as system log management and intrusion detection processes
  • Create dashboards to assess information about security findings
  • Manage system certifications
  • Your experience collaborating with auditors and regulatory personnel will ensure compliance with security regulations and standards


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of professional experience in the IT industry

  • Familiarity with Security practices and principles; prior experience interfacing with ISSOs

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience with Python
  • Understanding of REST API design and implementation
  • Knowledgeable in PKI certificate management
  • Familiar with Cloud/Containerization technologies
  • Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Tableau or similar)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced with Splunk and ELK stack for log management and data analysis
  • Knowledgeable in Vulnerability Management practices and tools
  • Skilled in Secure Code Reviews

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $117,600 - $176,400. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
