General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Document Control Specialist who holds active DOD Secret clearance.  100% remote in USA.

The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution, which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s life-cycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.


  • Work closely with our managers, program analysts, and quality assurance team members to coordinate successful production and distribution of critical documents ensuring cooperation and compliance

  • Review documents for accuracy, identify errors and inconsistencies, communicate with appropriate staff about making corrections, route and track documents for approvals and signatures, and organize archives of forms, approval routing, and signed correspondence

  • Troubleshoot SharePoint challenges and coordinate with Team and Quality Assurance Manager to resolve

  • Monitor updates regarding policies and procedures that impact document review workflows and communicate these to team members

  • Performs a variety of operational duties, such as verification, approval, processing document revisions, and tracking of documents

  • Completes sorting, numbering, filing, scanning, printing, distributing, storing, categorizing documents, and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents   

  • Train administrative staff to ensure attention to detail and adherence to agency policy

Required Skills:

  • Education: AS/AA and 5 years of experience or equivalent experience in lieu of education

  • 5+ years of relevant experience performing routine and non-routine administrative and analytical tasks in one or more business support functions within an organization

  • Functional with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Teams), and JIRA/Confluence

  • Customer service oriented

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask

  • Experience collaborating with technical editors and quality assurance manager

  • Ability to work independently to anticipate and address customer needs

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in Agile teams

Security Clearance:

  • Secret Required, ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.00 - $30.00, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
