The Acquisition Business Analyst/SME is responsible for the working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Acquisition Teams to define system modernization business requirements and translate them to Agile application user stories.
In this role, you will provide SME-level support in acquisition management processes, ensure repeatable processes, identify opportunities for improvement and provide a structured approach from planning through operations.

Work with CDC Acquisition and Technology SME’s within the business to analyze current operational procedures, identify areas for improvement and offer possible solutions
Facilitates the gathering, analysis, prioritization, and complexity categorization of business requirements.
Document and model ‘as is’ and ‘future state’ business processes. Analyze and optimize requirements to match guiding principles of future state
Effectively and efficiently organize and facilitate interviews and workshops
Communicate and translate requirements effectively between business areas and IT
Act as a liaison between business end users and IT development teams. Consultant on analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance to ensure optimal operational performance.
Responsible for collaborating with the business to create detailed use cases, process flows, prototyping, test cases and test scenarios to implement quality solutions.
Participate (and sometimes lead) testing activities, providing input into test plans, writing test scripts and test cases
5+ years and a Bachelor’s Degree in Government Acquisition or related field
5+ years of experience in federal government procurements required
Deep understanding of the FAR and various agency regulations
Advanced capability in research, writing, training, and revision of professional content related to federal acquisitions
Intermediate level of expertise using Microsoft (MS) Office, MS Teams, and SharePoint (i.e.: creating documents, editing documents, loading files to Teams and SharePoint, using MS collaboration tools such as track changes, comments, and sharing documents)
The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
