General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for Research Scientist in the greater San Antonio, Texas area. The team is looking for someone who is able to obtain or hold active Secret clearance, this is preferred.
Position Summary: Investigates the biological effects of electromagnetic fields. Conducts activities to support research projects. Experience in rodent behavioral training and behavioral data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing both rats and mice in motor function and cognitive performance tasks.
Physiology, psychology, BME, or related science degree
Experience in rodent behavioral training and behavioral data analysis

Demonstrated ability to write scientific documents.
Master’s, or doctorate degree or relevant experience in lieu of education
Conducts research activities according to research protocol.
Conducts traditional laboratory experiments and activities.
Maintain a clean laboratory to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Orders laboratory and/or other supplies as required by the research.
Collects, evaluates, and interprets research data to provide needed information to principal investigators and other researchers.
Updates notebooks, records, and databases as needed.
As needed, may coordinate the work of laboratory technicians and assistants to manage the execution of research.
Generates research products to include: technical reports, protocols and, slide decks.
Complies with all government policies, rules, regulations, and codes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Key Accountabilities: As part of a team, conducts research activities according to a research protocol. Research activities may include some or all of the following: the planning and conduct of traditional laboratory experiments, data analysis and report writing.
Bachelor's degree or higher required. Security clearance required: Yes, or must be able to obtain one.
