General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate opportunity for a Microsoft Exchange Engineer to design, configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange Infrastructure. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Design, install, implement, support, and troubleshoot Exchange server, Windows server, Internet Information Server (IIS), Microsoft SQL server
Messaging Integration — base integration with Exchange, Lync, including security settings, updates and level three problem management support
Provide direct support to end-users ranging from Tier 1-3 type issues, with command of general workstation support functions (hardware and software)
Cloud Messaging Services — design and support migration to cloud based email and cloud based faxing implementation
Messaging Service Server Integration — base operating systems, software installation, configuration and security settings, updates and level three problem management support. Includes patching, upgrading and migration to updated versions
Messaging Service — design and implementation, release management, production, user/account provisioning, application support and third level problem management support
Other Windows related Engineering activities as requested
We can only accept US citizens and or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years and not have left the country for longer than 180 cumulative days.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution in a computer science, information system or related field
The Microsoft Exchange Engineeer shall meet the following minimum requirements:
Six years of experience with Windows, with two (2) years of experience planning, architecting, developing, testing, and implementing PC LANs
Proficient with PowerShell and other scripting skills used to automate messaging processes and reporting is a must
Demonstrated experience with hardware and software testing, integration, installation, configuration, and problem solving; especially for Windows XP clients and Windows Server, and all versions of Outlook
Working knowledge of state of the art messaging and collaboration systems hardware, software techniques, and concepts including Exchange, Lync, Electronic Faxing, Web Conferencing
Design, install, implement, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Office 365 is a plus
Knowledge of SharePoint 2016 in a large environment is a plus
Knowledge of previous versions to include SharePoint Foundations is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to formulate and document proposed messaging and collaborative communications system and operating system solutions with comprehensive, quantitative, and qualitative terms appropriate for comparative analysis
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Length of employment can be used as a substitute for Microsoft Certification
Must be able to obtain and retain a Public Trust Clearance
