Located at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, the NASA Share Service Centers (NSSC) mission is to provide timely, accurate, high quality, cost-effective, and customer focused support for selected NASA business and technical services.  GDIT, which is the prime contractor, has partnered with NASA to consolidate selected Procurement, Finance, Human Resource, and Information Technology activities from the ten NASA Centers into a single shared services center. We also support the NASA Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) and the NASA Customer Contact Center (CCC). NSSC is relying on GDIT to implement Robotic Process Automations to enhance the productivity of the NASA enterprise and NSSC staff.

We are seeking an entry level Software Developer for our Robotic Process Automation (RPA)/UiPath for our Intelligent Automation (IAS) team.  Someone who can use insight, imagination, and modern technical skills to automate a variety of structured business processes currently being performed manually. The ideal candidate will have a strong development and analysis background, strong communication skills, can be customer facing and will be able to work independently.

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creates and maintains logic/code for bots that will interact with multiple internal and external applications.
  • Attend process design sessions with Business Analysts for process identification and feasibility analysis of new bot opportunities
  • Design, develop and deploy a variety of bots automations including creating and maintaining solution documentation such as Solution Description Document (SDD)
  • Support, maintain and troubleshoot issues with deployed bots
  • Follow good software engineering and configuration management processes
  • Contribute to structured peer reviews and code reviews
  • Ensures best practices are being followed at each stage of SDLC
  • Support bot implementation from development lifecycle to successful deployment

Experience:

  • Requires a BS in an IT or related discipline
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Government clearance
  • Excellent analytical skills for developing logic for bots
  • Good client interaction skills
  • Good communication skills for working with analysts and customers to troubleshoot issues
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach
  • Fully conversant with computing concepts and development life cycle methodologies
  • Ability to estimate work duration and generally meet work estimates
  • Local candidates preferred

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant software development experience using object-oriented computer languages desired
  • Experience building bot automations utilizing UiPath software desired
