General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst.
Scope: Investigative/internet analyst will leverage open source and commercial software tools to review, assess and collect data from a disparate list of open and closed web sources, including but not limited to news publications, blogs, social media platforms, paste sites, government websites, forums, onion sites.
Demonstrated experience in conducting complex financial investigations, modeling, data extrapolation, development of financial databases and tracking systems to enhance data collection, analysis and investigation
Analyze the data from these various sources and identify investigative opportunities and intelligence to support the many investigative programs within the USPIS to include cybercrime, narcotics, identify theft, dangerous goods and workplace violence.
Advanced understanding of systems that include EDW, WebBSA, FinCEN, CLEAR, Case Management System, eREG, SWBTRAC, FedImage, and/or other resources
Create intelligence and investigative reports which represent the steps taken, the data sources reviewed and the conclusions drawn from the evaluation of the Internet information.
Data Mining, Analysis and Reporting
Represent analysis and research results using tabular, pictorial or graphical techniques.
Demonstrated experience in performing complex analytical investigations, focusing on phone record analysis, open source intelligence and financial analytics, while utilizing USPS and Law Enforcement databases to support investigative activities and strategies.
Develop analytic products that are disseminated and used in law enforcement communities to enhance strategic, and tactical planning, inter-agency partnership, automate existing manual processes, resource prioritization, and workload allocation.
Hands on experience using technology including SAS and others to identify and support investigations; bring a higher level capability, efficiency and streamline daily operations, using SQL queries, scripts, PenLink, ArcGIS, creation of interactive dashboards, leading to an increase in IOS support to other programs like JOLT, AML, CI2 and others.
Responsible for developing and supporting investigations and operations through link analysis and other analytics techniques
Perform training to other headquarters intelligence analysts, along with field analysts
Deliver summary results to various levels of an organization in formats which are easy to understand; showing conclusions and relationships.
Bachelors degree in an engineering, cyber or related discipline
10+ years of related experience supporting intelligence operations. Experience in using cyber intelligence tools and software tools to actively search and mine the publicly available Internet and the darknet/deep web
Experience in such visual tools as Microstrategy, Tableau and/or i2 Analyst Notebook.
Advanced understanding of the methods used by cyber-criminals to hide themselves on the Internet, how the cyber-criminals conduct online business and what are the various market places and forums the cyber-criminals operate within.
Capable to use technology solutions to actively search, analyze and prioritize the various market places and cyber-criminals to identify high value targets for the USPIS investigators.
Strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment;
Active Top Secret clearance
