CNC Press Brake Programmer/Operator

Program and operate Press Brake and Plasma Table. This is a hands on position which will require working with our Manufacturing Engineer, Machine shop, shop personnel, and other departments.

Job Description:

Job duties include designing, interpret layout plans to execute assigned jobs, review blueprints or plans for the finished product.  Program and operate Press Brake, make adjustments to the machine controls, change out punches and dies for predetermined bends.  Program Plasma Table, load plate, operate burn table, clean and remove skeleton plate off of the table, follow traceability requirements, and make adjustments to the material feed and path of the cut. 

Clean work area and machines, as well as, make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product. Follow our ISO quality standards/procedures.

Experience/Skills Req’d

• Experience using CAD/CAM software such as AutoCad, ProNest, Design2Fab to create CNC program files
• Design / Fabricate shipboard complex ventilation systems
• Optimize machine programs and nest parts to reduce time and material usage
• Experience creating flattened part drawings and bent sheet metal parts
• Read, check & review technical drawings and documents to correctly program machines
• Properly and safely set up, operate, and calibrate CNC press brake and plasma tables
• Apply knowledge of metal properties and tooling selection to bend and cut parts
• Maintain a clean tool inventory
• Document routine maintenance on machine as directed
• Experience programming and operating Cincinnati press brake, or equivalent
• Experience programming and operating Hypertherm XPR300 CNC plasma cutting systems, or equivalent
• 5-7 yrs experience programming/operating CNC press brakes and plasma cutting machines

Associates degree or equivalent
