Maintains an organizations computer systems workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software. Creates and administers profiles and accounts and maintains systems documentation. Tunes system performance for optimal conditions. Installs system-wide software.

General Dynamic Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring all levels of UCS Systems Administrators, in Fort Huachuca, AZ.  Your primary responsibilities include managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

Senior Level Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, implement, and administer enterprise blade server and storage technologies in support of underlying virtualization infrastructure.
  • Support and troubleshoot NSX.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
  • Evaluate vendor products.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

Required Qualifications For Senior Level:      

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to support shift work 365X24X7.
  • A combination of 10 or more years of experience with Cisco FlexPod, VMWare (or equivalent virtualization technologies), or Network Attached Storage systems.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
  • Computing environment certification in VMware (VCP-DCV), Cisco (CCNP-DC), or similar technology within 6 months of hire.

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021 or the start date, if after December 8.
