GDIT is seeking a Cloud Architect to help support our Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS) contract.
As a Cloud Architect, you will help employ disciplined systems engineering processes including, but not limited to, requirements development, technical management and control, systems engineering technical reviews, and system/software design and architecture. In addition, the contractor shall implement system engineering best practices associated with risk management, configuration management, data management, test and evaluation (T&E), and verification and validation (V&V) throughout the period of performance of the task order.
The Cloud Architect shall support the design and development of systems and applications and their integration into the overarching enterprise DoD architecture. The contractor shall provide required design and development documents and supporting architectural documentation in compliance with Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) Enterprise Architecture guidance, or other frameworks as identified in the task orders.
HOW A CLOUD ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Assist and support with engineering services, technical analysis, solution design and development for DHA’s MED365 approach to include all products in the Microsoft Office365 IL5 implementation.
Assist with Microsoft Office365 product deployments
Technical consulting and guidance regarding Office365 infrastructure, software, security components and other applicable services, software, and platforms
Assist with the testing, implementation and deployment processes, documentation, and user guides for the latest design of the IL5 MED365 environment
Assist in identifying client-related issues, to include assisting customers in determining appropriate solutions
Serve as a resource to customers' operations organizations and provide on-going assistance relating to planning, deployment, change control and training for customer's existing support staff.
Assist with technical writing and communication
Create new, and extend existing, operational documentation
Design to maximize the Government’s investment in Microsoft Office365 Microsoft technologies, reduce risk, accelerate deployment, and optimize solutions to meet DISA customer requirements
Perform problem resolution efficiently and expediently with MED365Microsoft technology as part of solution development and architectural planning
Perform technical support, problem resolution, workshops, strategic guidance, and assistance to customers with technical issues pertaining to developing intranet/internet strategies, prototyping, implementation and deployment of solutions spanning across infrastructure and application areas
Provide the core requirement of agile and real-time reach back to vendor software developers and product teams
Assist in determining the root cause of recurring incidents and provide recommendations to prevent further disruptions in the designated Microsoft technologies
Provide engineering, configuration and optimizations support for Microsoft Office365 products
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
CLEARANCE: Active DoD Secret Clearance
CERTIFICATION(S):
IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or similar)
Industry recognized cloud engineering/architecture or security certification
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
YEAR’S EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of System Architecture experience and at least 3 years of Cloud Engineering
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation
Expertise with Microsoft Azure services
Expertise with Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite, AzureAD)
Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures
Expertise with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF / DODAF

The likely salary range for this position is $139,200 - $208,800, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
