With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.  We are seeking a Software Developer that can work independently – please read below!

  • Perform full spectrum of software development lifecycle (SDLC), to include systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing and debugging assigned components and units.
  • Tests and debugs assigned components and units.
  • Participates in large system and subsystem planning.
  • Collaborates with systems engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.
  • Maintains operational and test platforms including operating system, applications, and code repositories.
  • Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize software development ROI.
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings understand requirements, identify unique use cases, and implement information technology solutions / initiatives.
  • Maintain all agreed upon professional and technical certifications you have and are given the opportunity to achieve.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience required.
  • Secret clearance with Top Secret SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field – may substitute additional years of experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the hardware, software, and systems associated with software engineering.
  • Professional security certification such as COMPTIA Security+ or CISSP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years programming languages and scripting experience
  • Understanding of object-oriented development technique
  • Experience with Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience with web technologies (i.e. HTML, CSS, javascript)
  • Experience with Microsoft development stack (i.e. C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, .NET Core, Entity Framework)
  • Familiar with Telligent or data analytic design
  • Familiar with intelligence toolsets and metadata tagging
  • Familiar with Microsoft Environment (i.e. Windows Server, Internet Information Services (IIS))
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services protocols
  • Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management, JIRA (or similar RTM platforms)
  • Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, or similar workflow management applications
