Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEER supporting a world class maintenance program servicing a wide variety of mobile communications equipment for our prestigious client at the highest levels of the federal government in the heart of our nation’s capital. As a Power Systems Engineer, you are vital to our overall approach to power systems documentation. You act as the documentation subject matter expert for our government client and exhibit the exceptional technical and customer service skills to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible. HOW A POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Analyzing existing electrical blueprints and identify areas for improvement or modification.
  • Collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to develop design changes and updates.
  • Updating and modifying electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD or other software tools.
  • Ensuring that all drawings are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory codes and standards. This will involve staying up-to-date with Industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and using that knowledge to inform their work.
  • Actively participating in project meetings, providing technical expertise on electrical design issues and collaborating with team members to find solutions to challenges as they arise.
  • Conducting quality control reviews to ensure that all work meets client requirements and specifications.
  • Design and analyze power systems for various applications including generators, motors, and distribution systems.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS/BA or Equivalent experience
  • Required Experience: 8+ Years’ related experience (electrical systems, design and drafting)
  • Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
  • Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
  • Location: On Customer Site
