Please take this opportunity to join one of GDIT’s fastest long-standing growing programs!  US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team. 

This position is in support of the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) in Mons, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • May program in an administrative language.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
  • Provides advice and training to end-users.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • This position may require early evening system maintenance and occasional on-call after hours.
     

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a secret clearance.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • In support of the requirement, the employee must have and maintain the CompTIA Security+ CE Certification. The CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification. Also acceptable are alternative certifications.
  • Must have ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
  • Experience with VMware View Technology
  • Experience working with VMware App Volumes
  • Strong Experience with SCCM and patch management
  • Solid experience with Active Directory and Windows 10 and applying STIGs, GPOs and vulnerability remediation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Exchange, Airwatch and/or SQL
  • Team lead experience - reporting to management, producing both customer and project documentation, liaising with other teams, and general management of the Systems Team tasks.

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
