As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist/Application Tester supporting the customer, you will be trusted to actively work with a team in both development and O&M environment, developing and implementing quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. In this role, a typical day will include:
Work with a team developing and implementing quality control methodologies. • Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation.
Conduct and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.
Monitoring bug resolution efforts and tracking successes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 10 years related experience.
Technical Skills: Agile Testing, Automation Testing, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Database or SQL Testing Tools & Techniques and Project management.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Design and implement advanced testing plans for IT related products and services
Identify test procedures and scenarios for the quality control of IT products and services
Provide cross functional support to help resolve defects and errors of IT products
Assesses performance of IT products and services to ensure they meet established quality standards
Leads the collection and communication of quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to various IT teams
Resolve highly complex product issues and track progress
Identify areas for improvement to enhance product efficiency
Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and trends in IT quality assurance. Provides advanced guidance and leadership to less-experienced personnel
May serve as a team or task leader (Not a people manager)
Recognized as an emerging subject matter expert
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of experience
