At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Program manager supporting a federal government customer, you will be trusted to lead a software development and maintenance services team, which is evolving to an Agile environment. The team supports a C4ISR software suite and backend services that enable development and integration of external applications and data.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Scope of work includes requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, configuration management, information assurance, and maintenance.
The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between the GDIT and the Government and coordinate all GDIT activities in support of the contract.
Directs, plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs. Directs and coordinates program activities, technical direction, pricing, program controls and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of assigned programs
Develops reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specific program objectives and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.
Establishes work plan and selects staffing for each phase of program and arranges for recruitment or assignment of program personnel by identifying the most qualified individuals for assignments on specific projects.
Confers with Key Personnel and Program staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
Directs and coordinates activities of program personnel to ensure program progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Prepares technical proposals, program reports and presentations for management, client or others as defined in PWS Performance Requirements Summary and Deliverables Schedule.
Ensures that all performance standards are met IAW with the PWS acceptable quality level.
Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
Coordinates program activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental regulatory or other governmental agencies.
Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities.
Performs business development activities at all stages, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals.
Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned program(s).
Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Minimum five years’ experience as a Program Manager
BS Computer Science (or related degree). Can consider experience in lieu of degree
Demonstrated CMMI experience
Successful track record of Agile Project Management
USMC MAGTF C2 operations
Recent experience and expertise with USMC, Joint, and Coalition Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for C4I systems and the Information Exchange Requirements (IERs) between these systems
Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) operation and administration experience
Systems administration experience
Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities, including understanding user requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, successfully
Certification in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework for information technology (IT) infrastructure, development, and operations and demonstrate knowledge and possess an awareness of the standards, including ISO/IEC 20000 the international standard covering the IT Service Management elements of ITIL.
Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
CMMI (Associate or Professional)
Must have a minimum of fully adjudicated DoD Secret clearance confirmed within JPAS
10-12 years as a Program Manager
Managed team > 25 persons
Experience leading software development
Experience managing task orders
XML and JSON data schema development
Experience in SharePoint administration
Agile Professional Scrum Master (preferred)
