At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Administrative Assistant III a typical day will include:
The AA Ill is a key member of the front office team whose work will have a high level of visibility and daily interaction with senior management
The AA will be primarily responsible for preparing, editing, seeking final customer approval, and distributing print and digital content (workforce notices, newsletters, highlights, etc.) and tracking their effectiveness by conducting audience research and organizing/facilitating events
The AA should have exceptional organizational, writing and editing skills and the ability to apply them to support administration of leaderships strategic initiatives
The AA shall be able to work both with a high level of autonomy or as part of a team. The AA will assist in solving complex administrative problems related to fast paced and dynamic requirements, to include, independently and/or in conjunction with appropriate team members, proposing creative solutions and plans which comply with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and laws
The resource will work with the support team in a professional office environment and may be called upon to provide back-up support to other members of the front office team
The AA will regularly interact with senior leadership (GS14 and above) from several Government agencies and with a variety of teams and individuals in various leadership levels throughout the sponsor organization
The AA must maintain an executive presence and professional decorum at all times and with a variety of senior leaders
The AA should display high initiative, with a solutions-based mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The AA should have demonstrated experience in utilizing creative problem solving in their work
The AA will occasionally travel to other WMA buildings (several times a year at most) but will not be required to operate a GOV. A personal vehicle is not required, but is allowed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
The AA shall be available during normal business hours (core hours are 0900 -1500) although there is some flexibility
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
