The candidate will join a team of senior professionals in supporting training of Navy and Marine Corps Acquisition Professionals at the Navy’s ASN/RDA Program Manager War Room complex. Responsibilities include:

-Assist the Navy Director, Acquisition Community Management (DACM) in addressing challenges facing the acquisition workforce, including identification of all stakeholders outside of DACM that influence the AWF and collected metrics and various stated problems (from research and professional visitors) for:

  • 14 current AWF career fields
  • Engineering Duty Officer career ladders
  • Acquisition Professional career ladders
  • Field activity professional development
  • Management vs. technical tracks for career progression
  • Education / degree / training requirements

-Assist in the maturation of the a newly created Acquisition Work Force War Room designed to address the unique challenges of navy programs and the responsibilities of the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and staff.

MA/MS in Engineering or Management Disciplines desired.

-20+ years serving in Navy acquisition related fields, with experience in shipbuilding and managing and development of the acquisition work force.  

-Comfortable speaking in front of audiences and interacting with senior Navy leadership
