The Hardware Specialist shall possess the following capabilities:
Positions are available at the following three levels:
Hardware Specialist Level 1
Qualifications: Minimum education and experience level: Associates degree and 2 years’ experience. Equivalent education and experience: High school/GED and 4 years’ experience, or Bachelor's Degree and no experience.
Hardware Specialist Level 2
Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, installation and support of distributed processing client/server systems.
Qualifications:
Minimum education and experience level: Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 5 years
Equivalent education and experience: High School/GED with 9 years’ experience, or Associate degree and 7 years’ experience, or Master degree and 3 years’ experience, or Doctorate degree and 1 year experience.
Hardware Specialist Level 3
Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, installation and support of distributed processing client/server systems.
Direct and lead preparation of engineering plans and site installation technical design packages
Organize and direct hardware installations. Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepares specifications for hardware acquisitions.
Qualifications:
Minimum education and experience level: Bachelor’s Degree or higher and 9 years
Equivalent education and experience: High School/GED with 13 years’ experience, or Associate degree and 11 years’ experience, or Master degree and 7 years’ experience, or Doctorate degree and 3 year experience.
