Job Description

Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. We are searching for a (Type) Analyst to join the team.

(Type) Analyst will provide support to the Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center Sea Combat Division (SMWDC-SCD) in San Diego, CA by providing subject matter expert (SME) advice and assistance in support of Advanced Tactical Training (ATT).

Candidates for this position shall possess at a minimum:

  • Possess SECRET Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’ Degree
  • At least 3 years of recent experience working with Navy computer based trainers or simulators that support ASW/SUW warfare areas
  • At least 3 years of recent proficiency with either Multi-mission Team Trainer (MMTT), SQQ-89 Advanced Capability Build (ACB) trainers or Combined IAMD/ASW Trainer (CIAT)
  • At least 3 years of recent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities for this position will include but may not be limited to:

Provide support to courses of instruction requiring the use of simulators in a formal schoolhouse/classroom environment.

Become proficient in use of, and provide feedback and recommendations on the effectiveness of the Multi-Mission Team Trainer (MMTT), the Combined IAMD / ASW Trainer (CIAT), the series of Virtual Operator Trainers (VOTs), and other simulators and emulators systems used by SMWDC.

Develop tactical multi-day, multi-warfare scenarios within the MMTT and CIAT training facility. Become familiar with the Virtual Operator Trainer (VOTs) and how to best utilize the trainer to train students and staff.

Provide training in SMWDC briefing standardization requirements. Support standardization process by attend pre-boards and qualification boards for SMWDC instructors to reinforce standardization requirements.

Support/provide instruction in a formal schoolhouse/classroom environment for WTI or other SMWDC taught courses of instruction in accordance with SMWDC governing instructions.

Provide feedback in the mission area curriculum development; and participate in course curriculum review process and make recommendations for improvement. Provide feedback on mission area capabilities by assessing the Fleet Concepts of Operation (CONOPS); unit-level mission area readiness through direct observation or indirect analysis of performance metrics.

Provide feedback on the database management systems, the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language, and Microsoft Excel, to build and maintain a lethality training tool, and evaluation tools provided by SMWDC.

Provide feedback as to the maintenance of, and expand development of lethality training tools in development.
