  • Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
  • Troubleshoots highly complex system hardware and software issues
  • Develops training materials for end users on the proper use of hardware and software
  • Develops implementation plans for software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
  • Leads efforts to ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
  • Conducts advanced hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
  • Develops performance and security plans for computers that meet the needs of network users
  • Evaluates existing systems and plans long-term strategies


  • Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
  • Required Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Polygraph
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with LINUX operating systems (e.g. RedHat, CentOS); Experience with automated provisioning technologies or methods such as Terraform, Chef and/or AWS bootstrapping via cloud-init scripts; Experience/knowledge of AWS to include EC2, EBS, ECS, VPC, ElasticCache, SQS, SNS
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated strong understanding of proactive monitoring concepts; Knowledge with migration of applications and deployment of physical and virtual servers and deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server environments; Demonstrated experience and understanding of information security practices (e.g., cryptography, privilege separation, RBAC, INFOSEC, Auditing, Patching, Security Benchmark Compliance, OS hardening)
  • Preferred Skills: Experience discussing technical topics with non-technical people; Experience mentoring junior cyber engineers; Strong communication skills
