GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Skype for Business Administrator supporting U.S. Army Europe in Wiesbaden Germany.
The candidate will be responsible for the operational support for an enterprise wide Skype for Business implementation on all supported networks. The successful candidate will work closely with the Windows and Cyber technical teams to ensure that administration and implementation are conducted per policy, procedures and best practices. Experience in complex enterprise level applications and knowledge of how application components interrelate and work together, including internal and external interfaces as it relates to supporting an enterprise wide Microsoft implementation in a high availability and distributed environment is a plus.
Priority will be on the ability to use sound judgement to maintain a good balance of system security while maintaining proper system or application functionality for the end-user; scope of systems administration focuses around ensuring the systems support the proper operation and functionality of Mission Command/C2 applications.
Primarily responsibility is the overall Enterprise wide Skype for Business (SfB) implementation, integration, and operational maintenance (O&M) of the servers.
Customize and implement server hardware and software, including operating systems, security, backups, monitoring, storage, remote access systems, and network management systems.
Install, configure, and maintain:
Install, configure, and Maintain on Premise Skype for Business 2019 Server
Back End Servers running MS SQL server to support an Enterprise Skype infrastructure.
Edge Server for external (XMPP) integration.
Video Interop Server.
Persistent Chat Server or Teams configuration.
Operating system and database backups.
Set up user accounts in accordance with established Cyber guidance.
Create and implement a Skpe for Business topology based on Active Directory Sites.
Deploy Skype for Business within a load-balancing enterprise topology.
Evaluate Cyber Compliance against ACAS & STIG scans.
May be required to forward deploy alongside Army units in austere locations for up to six weeks in order to provide field level C2 systems support.
Active Secret Level Security Clearance
Candidate must be able to meet German German TESA requirements.
Candidate must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements on day 1.
Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire.
