GDIT is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Program Manager to lead our Mission Command (MC) training team at the III Corps Mission Training Complex (MTC) Hub at Ft. Hood, TX. The Program Manager will serve as the Task Order Manager (TOM) for the U.S. Army’s III Corps Area of Operation which includes the Ft. Hood MTC and four additional MTCs at Ft. Carson, CO; Ft. Bliss; TX; Ft. Sill, OK; and Ft. Riley, KS. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading large, complex, and multi-functional programs involving distributed Joint and/or Army training simulations and exercises. The Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Task Order and associated deliverables, negotiating and approving changes with the customer, and the final authority for managing personnel, maintaining Profit and Loss statements, program quality control, and overall program team development. The TOM will regularly interface with the Government MTC Directors, Contractor Officer Representative, and Army Contracting Command – Orlando officials to ensure clear communications across the program effort.
Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
Five years experience in managing programs of similar size, scope, and complexity
A minimum of ten years of experience in project management
CGSC or equivalent DOD schooling (MEL 4)
Successfully served as a Centralized Selection List (CSL) Battalion Commander
A minimum of two years of experience in managing an office executing a variety of contracts covering multiple functional and geographical areas
Minimum of ten years supervisory experience
20 years military experience with military training and training support background
Experience in operations and training at Division or higher level
Background in training management
Full understanding of Mission Command Training Programs (MCTP)
Familiar using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to support customer training requirements
Excellent organizational, writing, and communications skills
The ability to work autonomously and within the intent of GDIT leadership
Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and others)
Senior Service College (SSC) qualified (MEL 1)
Served as a Brigade Commander
Recent MC training at Battalion Command level or higher; in-depth knowledge of virtual training simulators; and constructive simulations and gaming experience
