GDIT is seeking a Test Engineer Junior to provide onsite and remote support for multiple Force Protection System (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) to the IBD-SS program with operations located at Fort Belvoir VA.

 

We are looking for motivated self-starters who want to join a team dedicated to excellence and continuous progress.  Selected candidates will participate in engineering activities at any point in the system development life cycle including systems analysis/requirements definition design, development, integration, testing, acceptance/deployment, sustainment/maintenance, and evaluation. Experience with Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting, Entry Control Point (ECP), Non-Intrusive Inspection System (NIIS), Rapid Reaction Tunnel Detection (R2TD), Joint Defense Operation Center (JDOC), Combat Outpost Force Protection System (COSFPS), Base Expeditionary Targeting Surveillance System – Combined (BETSS-C), BETSS-C Cerberus Scout, BETSS-C Full Motion Video (FMV) , Bistatic Surveillance System (BSS), Rapid Deployment Integrated Surveillance System (RDISS), Force Protection (FP) Suite and Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS, AN/VSS-6A) Suite of Systems is required.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components
  • Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
  • Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups
  • Devises and applies testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors
  • Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs
  • Experience testing in a Java development environment
  • Functional experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development and execution testing

Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems

Required Skills:

  • BS degree and 2 years of relevant technical experience or AA degree and 4 years of relevant experience or HS diploma and 6 years of relevant experience
  • DoD 8570 technical certifications as directed by the government and Program Manager
  • US Government Secret or higher level security clearance as required

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with CECOM Software Engineering Center Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) & Post Production Software Support (PPSS) processes is also desirable
