Job Description

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Technical Editor Associate supporting Navy Enterprise Service Desk (NESD). GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.

Our work depends on Technical Editor Associate joining our team to utilize your experience with business process analysis to draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to organizational and departmental goals.

This position is contingent upon award.

HOW THE TECHNICAL EDITOR ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Review usage and effectiveness of knowledge management system and knowledge articles for over 70 applications with future implementations to include an additional 50+ applications
  • Update and improve existing knowledge base(s) to improve knowledge article content, knowledge article discovery, and improve overall customer service and satisfaction
  • Create job aids and SOPs for incident and problem resolution
  • Identify reoccurring incidents and requests for prioritization of job aid/SOP creation
  • Perform operational duties in support of regulatory, security, and industry practices' compliance documentation
  • Coordinates the verification, approval, and processing of document revisions for call center knowledge base
  • Track document activity to ensure timeliness and process efficiency
  • Conduct research and analysis for new content creation and document maintenance (technical writing and editing). Provide customer support for document owners and key stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent years of experience (AS with 2+ years of exp or HS/GED with 4+ years of experience)
  • Required Experience: 0+ years of relevant experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Security Clearance Level: Interim Secret Clearance is required to onboard. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Highly organized, analytical, and logical. Quick learner who can develop creative solutions to audience needs.
  • Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in English or Technical Writing. One or more years of relevant experience with Navy Applications.
  • Location: Onsite in Bossier City, LA or New Orleans, LA. Louisiana residency is required.
