We are seeking an Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) DBA Manager to join our team to support our client Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Division of Dept Of Health and Human Services at Windsor Mill, MD. As a DBA Team Manager supporting CMS Financials, Budgeting and Reporting systems as part of CMS HOM project, you will be trusted to manage team of 20 Database Administrators with their day to day activities.
This position is open to support 100% remote work for the appropriate candidate, though on-site is supported as well.
IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Review teams activities and assignments.
Conduct team meetings to get status on activities and report up the chain.
Conduct periodic meetings with client to provide system status and to discuss any innovative solutions, which will help CMS and GDIT to move towards automation and reduce manual dependency.
Available to team 24/7 to support Mission critical production system including On-call team members.
Support team during issue Triaging and root cause analysis.
Provide solutions to system performance tuning/optimization.
Support Capacity planning & Forecasting.
Proactive monitoring and address potential issues.
Oracle DB & EBS cloning, Patching, Upgrade.
Backup & Restore.
Keeping DR system in sync with production.
Provide support to all Change migration Activities like deployments to all production and non-production environments.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline.
10+ years’ experience within Oracle applications environment (installation, configuration, upgrade, patching), preferably in R12.2.x environment.
2+ years of experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite; 5+ years EBS is preferred
Experience in OBIEE, SOA, Oracle IDM/SSO, GRC installations, configuration, patching and production support.
Experience in designing, developing, and testing updates and new enhancements within RDBMS and Oracle DB Concepts.
Capacity planning and High Availability configuration with DR setup and configuration experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 6 clearance.
Only US Citizenship/Green Card holders can be considered for this position.
Knowledge of earned value management, budgeting, providing estimates.
Experience in archive and purge solution for EBS R12.2.
Experience in informatica archive solution.
Knowledge and expertise on change migration tools.
Knowledge and expertise on automation (Shell, Perl scripting).
