As a HICOM Team Lead supporting ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) you will be trusted to serve as a full time, highly qualified senior SME responsible for the management and direction of 6 HICOM support teams (HST) In this role and responsible for coordinating, developing and execution of deliverable and products to simulate a division, corps, or joint force headquarters to achieve commanders training objectives in multi-echeloned environment, a typical day will include:

  • Acts as an advisor, mentor, and SME for Brigade and Division Commanders and their staffs. 
  • Provide observations for the conduct of After-Action Review (AAR) of MTC collective events.
  • Research and compile data and inputs from multiple sources, to develop and replicate the desired operating environment to achieve Commanders’ (development of orders, scenarios, and script writing).
  • Coaches, teaches, and mentors units during the conduct of JELC to assist the commander in achieving their training objectives. Provides on-site feedback to unit Commanders and appropriate staff members in the form of informal discussions.
  • Prepares a Final Exercise Report (FER) that addresses the planning, preparation and execution of each HST rotation.
  • Ensure that Government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies and standards are compiled to safeguard personnel and GFE/F.


  • MS/MA, subject immaterial
  • 20 years of experience
  • Army or ARNG leadership experience in UTM and preferably, Combat Training Center experience.
  • MEL 1 or equivalent DoD Schooling
  • Brigade Command; Preferred Division Command or Assistant Division Command experience
  • 2yrs experience utilizing the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) in event/exercise planning
  • Experienced in the conduct of large-scale live and constructive exercises
  • Familiar in Army information systems to training MC principles
  • Served as a Brigade, Division or Corps staff primary within the WFF they represent.
  • Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and others)
  • Travel: 50%
  • Security clearance level
