This is a casual hire temporary work situation from o/a 06JAN20 to o/a 18FEB20. Duty will be at Schofield Barracks Hawaii Oahu. Travel, lodging and per diem expenses are authorized and will be covered.


Responsible for the following JLCCTC v8.1 tasks:

1.JLCCTC v8.1 is running, and has a scenario loaded.

2.JLCCTC v8.1 is running How to verify it's running

3.ESS is running and translating HLA and DIS traffic and DIS configuration is correct.

4.JLCCTC v8.1 Scenario OBS file has been exported and copied to “H:\Common\Master\OBS Files”.

5.JLCCTC v8.1 OBS file has been pared-down and imported into IS.

6.All test entities (JLCCTC and Live) have been filtered in SEGW Filter Manager to send and receive updates between JLCCTC and IS. (SEGW Filter tool)

7.Viewing External Entities is enabled in JLCCTC v8.1 Client.

8.JLCCTC subsystem is up and running with simulated entities active in exercise.

9.TRECCS and 2D map (FalconView) is up and running with entities active in exercise.

10.Entity representation on JPMRC-IS (AKA-IS) and JLCCTC v8.1 display (Entity representation/Symbols, weapons carried, affiliation)

11.Entity Movement - IS entity movement observed on JLCCTC

12.Entity Movement - JLCCTC entity movement observed on the IS

13.Entity State Changes - IS entities health representation on JLCCTC

14.Entity State Changes - JLCCTC entities health representation on JPMRC-IS

15.Direct fire - representation of fire effects, (Firing hats, Pairing Lines, Impact splat) on each side.

16.Indirect Fire - representation of fire effects, (Firing hats, Impact splat) on each side.

17.Apply and install all JLCCTC updates for both the production suite and SAS


Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.

  1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  2. Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
  3. Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
  4. Provides technical support and training to end-users.
  5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities.
  6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  7. Participates in special projects as required.
  8. Responsible for performing system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of military simulations systems to include JLCCTC-MRF/ WARSIM, JLCCTC-ERF/ JCATS, and Low Overhead Drivers (LOD), and provides for the integration of these systems with Mission Command Systems (MCS) and administrative systems in order to support tailored unit digital MCS training requirements for military units ranging from battalion to echelons above corps. Serve as a subject matter expert on designated Constructive systems used to support training at the MTC.
  9. Maintains coordination with proponents of new systems for information on availability of use, participation in Beta testing, and provision of recommendations prior to fielding.
  10. Manage and track site Constructive system's hardware and software resources as directed by the simulations supervisor to ensure that system technical requirements are met for all training events on supporting systems.
  11. Maintain and update technical support request logs, status charts, and system configuration documentation for Constructive systems used in training exercises and events.
  12. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems (JLCCTC MRF / WARSIM). Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Sets up JLCCTC MRF / WARSIM, JLCCTC ERF / JCATS and Low-Overhead-Driver (LOD) administrator and service accounts. 13. Maintains system documentation Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  13. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  14. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May program in an administrative language.
  15. Develops and implements testing strategies and document results. Provides advice and training to end-users.
  16. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.


Participates in special projects as required.


AA/AS or equivalent work experience in a related technical discipline


Active Secret Clearance Preferred; 5-8yrs experience in a related field
