GDIT is seeking an VTC Telecommunication Analyst to join our team in Newington VA. Current/active TS/SCI clearance required. In this role you will provide Video teleconference scheduling and technical support for all VTC systems and conference rooms. See some of the other responsibilities and work experience needed listed below:

  • This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, suitably experienced, qualified, and able to follow instructions clearly but also able to make command decisions on the spot to achieve the aims of the organization.

  • Assist and lead problem resolution activities, coordinating with vendors, tracking, and escalating trouble tickets, identify and implement service restoration workarounds, perform root cause analysis, and interface with customers at all levels to report status and lessons learned.

  • Coordinate with third-party maintenance and warranty support for system equipment and schedule, monitor and manage VTC sessions.

  • Train personnel in the operation of VTC equipment, and other AV equipment associated with VTC services. This includes Staff members and VIP personnel.

  • Provide pre-conference testing and room setup for video teleconferences and/or meetings.

  • Ensure full interoperability and a seamless connection between all internal and external Videoconferencing networks and scheduling systems.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of VTC technology and equipment and coordinating VTC meetings across multiple sites.

  • Responsible for Installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco EX, SX, DX, and WEBEX  series VTC endpoints.

  • Communicate with team, as it relates to assigned calls, day-to-day functions, operations, scheduling, and any other video conferencing related issues.

  • Knowledgeable on operation of Crestron and AMX control systems.

  • Knowledgeable in the use of Cisco Meeting Server, VQ Conference Manager, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and/ TelePresence Management Suite.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain all technology pertaining to the AV System in all conference rooms on a Tier 1/2 basis.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for Video Conferencing Technical Support.

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment, under immense pressure. The pace requires independent and confident thinking, self- motivation, and determination.

  • Exceptional customer service, as well as written and verbal communication skills, are key in this customer facing role.


This position will be responsible for engineering, installing, fixing, and programing a wide variety of video display equipment to include video feed devices, channel and layout controls, cameras, microphones, audio and video display components, playback, recording, and duplication devices. Provide standard operating procedures describing how to access and use video display systems.  

Maintains and enhances customer services by organizing and evaluating service and delivery systems, and procedures. Works with other team members to promote a high morale environment that is fun and fast-paced.  The right candidate works well within a team. Collaboration, constructive criticism, and peer review are key components of the group dynamic.


5+ years of work experience VTC and telecommunications engineering experience.

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience work experience.

Current TS/SCI clearance required.
