Our office requires an AA with high levels of autonomy and discretion, as well as initiative. It is a dynamic, team-oriented work environment in which many of the activities occur on short notice and are of a high priority level. The staff interacts with over 25 different sponsor policy offices and their leaders as well as other senior executives and their staff, so professionalism is paramount. Exceptional verbal and written communication is expected because the resource will be responsible for all scheduling, meeting support, document preparation, and liaison between senior executive and others. The resource will also provide strategic communications support by updating the office website and drafting/sending ad hoc marketing communications and outreach emails. The resource is expected to be present during core office hours (0900 -1500, Monday to Friday). Ad hoc meeting or training support at other Washington Metro Area buildings may be required, so having a personally owned vehicle for transportation is preferred. The resource is expected to be present exactly 20 hours per week during core office hours (1100 -1400, Monday to Friday).
