GDIT is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that services provided are in accordance with DoD customer and GDIT requirements. Candidate is expected to visit the client site at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) a few days of the week.  

In this role, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Determines, negotiates and obtains customer agreement (when applicable) on project procedures, standards and specifications, including evaluation of existing procedures and creation of new procedures to fill gaps
  • Ensures procedures are trained and followed. Regularly audits procedures and recommends changes when needed to optimize
  • Ensures that customer requirements are traceable through software development lifecycle and IT infrastructure change control
  • Ensures customer service standards and SLAs are met
  • Supports the preparation of management and technical reports
  • Directs the Technical Writer on CDRL quality and format, performs compliance check and delivery and tracking of CDRLS
  • Oversees the Configuration Management lead to ensure optimal CM processes are followed for software, IT assets, and license management
  • Determines project training needs and ensures ongoing cross training to upskill the program team
  • Encourages change and improvement in performance and quality
  • Regularly meets with customers and obtains feedback via face-to-face meetings and/or online customer satisfaction surveys
  • Develops a strong familiarity of the ITIL Service Delivery Operations and becomes knowledgeable of the key government supporting functions and processes (creation of quality documentation, job aids, knowledge, and training materials/modules) to meet client expectations
  • Oversees internal quality assurance testing and customer user acceptance testing
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to the Program Manager to facilitate the adherence to quality standards for ticket logging and resolution across the escalation/resolution path
  • Conducts quality assessments, trend analysis and provides management reporting on quality metrics, as needed
  • Supports and performs gap analysis, root cause analysis and other assessments to diagnose issues and events that impact SLA events and service delivery
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to identify and communicate quality deficiencies verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates experience and confidence presenting information in meetings with client and various levels of executive leadership. Highly dependable with a proactive and team-oriented work posture


  • An active Secret security clearance is required to begin employment
  • Experience with large IT projects analyzing information from multiple sources to compile a complete solution; and easily communicate recommendations to high-level Government officials
  • BA/BS degree in an associated discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of applicable IT quality assurance experience
  • ITIL 4 certification/experience preferred
  • Experience in verification and validation, software testing and integration, and software metrics, and their application to software quality assessment.
  • Must be capable of maintaining and establishing a process for evaluating software and associated documentation
  • Responsible for reporting and analyzing quality metrics, determining areas of opportunity for improvement, and developing recommended action plans to address findings
