GDIT – Federal Civilian Division is looking for Product Management Analyst to join our team to support the United States Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA). This position is based in Ft. Detrick, Maryland.

In this position the ideal candidate will support the integrated Medical Automated System (iMAS) program for the Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation (WHPE) Product Management Organization (PMO).

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Supporting the research and integration of different medical devices and systems into an interoperable deployed hospital system for the iMAS, Transport Telemedicine Systems (TTS), and MEDEVAC Equipment Package (MEP) product offices of the WHPE PMO.
  • Demonstrating strong Product Management skills to include: problem-solving, critical thinking, basic circuit knowledge, enthusiasm for learning, communication, organizational, numerical, creative thinking, and project planning skills.
  • Developing, reviewing for accuracy, and maintaining/updating all necessary product management and defense acquisition documents in support of the programs, to include but not limited to: Simplified Acquisition Management Plan (SAMP), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Interface Control Documents (ICD), System and Operational overviews (SV & OV), and system design, testing, and analysis documents.
  • Continued learning of project management, DoD acquisition, medical device development, system engineering, and software change management processes.
  • Providing product management support to various WHPE PMO development efforts in the area of medical system and biomedical engineering.  Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to include scheduling meetings and preparing agendas, related documentation, and minutes.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the areas related to operational medicine and medical device/system development.
  • Successfully communicating with personnel at various echelons through the use of effective interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Supporting numerous efforts and effectively prioritize and multi-task requirements that have a direct impact on the product portfolio.
  • Supporting all major initiatives to advance product development and associated activities.
  • Assisting with programmatic and technical document review, market research, and vendor site visits/demonstrations.
  • Assisting in portfolio financial management by performing budget analysis and contract support in regards to deliverables and periods of performance. 
  • Participating in various meetings both internally and externally to the organization.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology and industry developments.
  • Supporting the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle and document preparation.
  • Participates in special projects as required.


  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical or Emergency Management Systems or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • 8+ years of product management, military leadership, and emergency medical experience, with at least 1 year experience in product or medical systems planning.
  • Strong engineering and product management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
  • Moderate Travel is required (10-25%) throughout CONUS and potentially OCONUS.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain T1 public trust.
