HOW A TRAINING SPECIALIST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel

• Work with a team of dedicated professionals to enhance every aspect of classroom and integratted trainer training.
• Apply open teaching, communication, and learning techniques to ensure all members of the team are fully participating in all aspects of classroom and trainer scenarios. All challenges will be handled using industry best practices and fully in line with Navy, SCSTC, and GDIT over-arching policies.
• Must be able to work with a very diverse team of active duty, retired, civilian, and contractor personnel with the singular focus of providing the best possible training to our ships and their crews. Previous military experience is extremely valuable.
• This position is primarily for a LCS TAO instructor who will also teach Bridge Resource Management principles. Doing so allows the candidate to develop and mentor sailors of all ranks to achieve personal, professional, and mission success.
• Successful candidates will bring a combination of leadership, technical, and tactical experience to the job to support classroom, computer based training, integrated scenario training systems, and the full suite of Microsoft Office products to maintain and update course materials to reflect current Navy tactics, tecehniques, and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in any discipline
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience operating ships bridge and weapons systems. For BRM candidates must also have successfully served as a commanding officer of a ship or squadron with three years of experience.
● Required Technical Skills: Officer of the Deck, Tactical Action Officer, Commanding Officer (BRM).
● Security Clearance Level: SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities: Communication with individuals and large groups. Effective use of MS Office applications. Ability to convey new information to students in both classroom and labratory settings using a veriety of flexible instructional methodologies.
● Preferred Skills: Fleet operational experience at several levels.
● Location: 100% On Customer Site at LTF Mayport. Position does require occasional evening work.
