The successful candidate will lead the capture and definition of business process requirements and rules for the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) pension automation. The candidate will have deep knowledge of business process analysis and automation with an emphasis on agile software development. The Lead Business Analyst will work closely with VBA stakeholders to accurately define the VBA pension processing rules to produce definitive outcomes for each pension claim evaluated. The successful Lead Business Analyst will serve as the link between the product owner/customer, the pension subject matter experts, and the technical IT teams. In this capacity, you will help discover user needs using interviews to capture and document user stories, work with development teams to address these needs, and specify business requirements and processes for automation developers. Your contributions and communications skills will be vital to providing a positive, high quality user experience to our nation’s veterans.
This candidate will support the team to prepare a Pension Automation Roadmap within the first 45 days of task order award and assemble a team of skilled functional resources to continuously improve pension automation delivery. You will be expected to participate in a wide range of program functions including test engineering, quality assurance, communications and change management plans. This position will be remote with limited support required in vendor facilities and/or a government site.

You will serve as a core support member for the team working closely with the Product Owner (lead stakeholder), pension subject matter experts, and high performing development team to delivery POI measurable outcomes. The primary responsibility will be to integrate the needs of the projects as well as the needs of several different stakeholders to produce an overall solution. The ideal candidate will have strong requirement analysis and business process automation knowledge combined with the ability to communicate clearly and prioritize initiatives with both GDIT management and our VA Clients.

The likely salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
