The Project/Task Lead provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or task(s) and manages one or more small to medium sized teams focused on a few or multiple areas. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Responsible for quality, scope, cost, schedule, and performance of assigned project or task(s). Manages or directs resources required to perform assigned project or task(s).
Demonstrated ability to lead; communicates clearly and effectively with customers and stakeholders
Provides project updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders as it pertains to strategy, required adjustments, and progress
Predicts resources needed to reach objectives and manages resources in an effective and efficient manner
Clear understanding of industry best practices, techniques and standards
Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned project or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management
Typically supervises assigned staff, may include subordinate supervisors
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting
May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks
Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload
Manages risk tracking process
Attends customer meetings and may serve as client liaison
Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client
Coordinates development of deliverables and products
Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
Experience Requirements
5+ years of related work experience
Documented experience leading teams and projects; solves problems creatively
Education Requirements
BA/BS in Information Technology related field, business or equivalent experience required
Master’s Degree preferred
Certification Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Agile/Scrum certification preferred
ITIL Foundations or ITIL v3 certification preferred
Security Requirements
Must have fully adjudicated Top Secret-SCI security clearance
