Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience within industry as a systems, electrical, computer and/or electronics engineer; Two (2) years of professional professional experience within industry acting as a lead engineer; Three (3) years of professional experience troubleshooting hardware/software systems; One (1) year of professional experience troubleshooting network based systems. One (1) year of professional experience troubleshooting VME and/or PLC based systems for the U.S. Navy. Experience on LCS ships desired.

Windows or Linux OS certification
